Thank you for your strong response to this new Commonwealth initiative. There has been a high level of interest in this Pilot Program. We appreciate the considerable time and energy that has been committed in completing all submissions.
Early in 2009, there will be:
- An announcement of successful round one projects,
- Letters to all applicants advising them of the outcome of their applications,
- An announcement of the dates for round two (expected to open early April and close mid May – subject to confirmation),
- A revised application form (expected late January 2009), and
- Revised guidelines (minimal revision).

An Information Paper is also available on our website. This paper includes an overview of the Program, the rationale for the Program, examples of shared facilities, both in Australia and overseas and key issues regarding the sharing of education facilities.
